Lakewood, Ohio
Grace Avenue
Named for Grace, one of James Nicholson's grandchildren (joint entry with Clarence Avenue).
Grace and Clarence were children of Ezra Nicholson, who made the family famous: inventor of a self-recording ship log and speed indicator; first president of the Rocky River Railroad Company; director of Fanner Manufacturing; involved with Lakewood Savings Bank and Nicholson Realty; school director; president of the New Jerusalem Church his father organized. He was asked to choose the name 'Lakewood' for the new hamlet.
