McClure Drive
Named for the family of Dr. Albert Edward McClure, a young Canadian physician who came in 1893 and married Ethel Hall.
He arrived to take over the practice of aging town doctor Dr. Henry Sook, met the eligible young women at socials given by Sook's three daughters, and married Ethel, daughter of Mathew Hall. They lived in the large house at Edward and Detroit (the old YMCA) with children Edward and Margaret. The drive runs between Ethel and Edward Avenues.
